Point Guard - John Stockton - career leader by far in steals (almost 1000 more than 2nd place) and assists (almost 5000 more than 2nd place). These records are almost untouchable.

Shooting Guard - Alex English - no player scored more points in the 1980's than Alex.

Small Forward - Larry Bird - simply the best clutch player of all time.

Power Forward - Karl Malone - look in the dictionary under power forward and you'll see a picture of Karl.

Center - Kareem Abdul Jabbar - Leading scorer in NBA history and had the most effective shot in history with his Sky Hook.

Backups: Magic, MJ (he didn't do much until the late '80s), Drexler, Olajuwon, Barkley, Ewing, Worthy, Erving (although he was actually best in the '70s), Isiah.

All of those previously mentioned and maybe Hakeem Olajuwon. He has the record for most blocked shots in a career (3,830). He and Ralph Sampson were a pretty awesome front court for the Houstion Rockets. Olajuwon only played some of the 80's; he played the 90's. John Stockton and Karl Malone played some in the 80's too.
