I live in Buffalo and it will most likely not be 32 degrees or lower. Especially on New Year's Day in the Day. Would they reschedule it or just get some special system to keep the ice cold?

Not great answers you are getting there since cold ice don't mean squat if it is raining, which I would think they must have some alternative plan, whether it be a rescheduling or to play in the rink. It would be a blessing in disguise anyway to get away from football day in America (and Canada).
Maybe they will still play and call it the Slush Bowl.

As I recall, the NHL was ready to move the outdoor game in Edmonton inside if it got too cold ... and it was pretty close to that point because of the near-zero temperatures. So a similar plan has to be in effect here.

Buffalo has had some warm New Year's Days. Remember, it's warm inside arenas, so I would think the cooling system would work as long as its a reasonably cold day.

I hope they have some system to accomidate inclement weather. Me an my 5 buddies are getting a bus from pittsburgh, drivin to new york city to times square for new years then over to buffalo for the game. It would be a horrible shame to drive all that way for nothing, and i'd be furious, so i hope they have something!!

When was the last time Buffalo didn't have a winter? Hell they got 3 feet of snow last October.
