These days when I listen to the radio, its like they will play a song and then play it again the next 5 minutes (seems like it). It wasn't like that back in the day. I used to enjoy listening to the radio but now I'm getting sick of it. Am I the only one? Does anybody else feel the same way?

your not the only one trust me!....i hate listening to the radio, its a bunch of garbage w/a bunch of new rap songs trying to tell you to do a different dance....omg so annoying, lol....not only do the play out songs but all of them sound the same, thats why i just listen to CDs now....yeah, kanye's graduation is awesome.

I agree. The main stations [Hot 97, Power 105, Z100, 106.1 BLI] play the same stuff. A lot of songs now are sooo wack. Like every new hip hop song HAS to have a dance to it. *sigh* I don't really listen to the radio anymore. I use my ipod nano. People don't make that much good [mainstream] music no more.
Ex #1- lots of alternative rock bands sound sooo whiny & poppy [Boys Like Girls, is one, at least to me].
Ex #2- newer hip hoppers seem more like hip poppers. Plus they seem to have lyrics filled with: profanity, degration of women, cars, money, bling bling. Which make them wack.
Ex #3- Pop music sounds HORRIBLE, in general. Seriously. Some artists that are R&B should actually be considered pop.
**By the way, I'm not someone older, who "wouldn't understand, anyway". I'm 13 & unlike other people my age, I can see the downfall in the main music genres**

I havent listened to the radio for like 3 years... so i'm with ya. They can make me hate a great song, so I got sick of them. When I forget my ipod or a cd and am forced to listened to the radio I go slightly crazy. AHHHHHH. I dont even want to think about it, very deppresing.

Naw I'm pretty sick of it as well. I think the main problem is that everything is automated now. Songs are programmed to play at certain times according to how popular they are. There's barely anyone who stays in the studio anymore during the time they're supposed to be there. They just record voice tracks that also play in between songs. So all of this makes it sound so boring and repetitive. Hopefully this dies out and the on-air talents make a comeback.

I don't even bother with the radio. The computer I can listen to the songs when I want and how many times I want.

yea i hate the radio. The only time I listen to the radio is early in the morning to hear the morning show (107.9 altanta). After that its my ipod or cds. After I hear a song so many times i can't listen to it anymore unless it's one of those songs i really really like.

Yeah I can't even stand to listen to the radio. That's why I'm glad I have a CD player in my car.

Its cuz they get payed off to do it.
I'm sick of the radio...I barly listen to it...there's so many good underground songs and they get overshadowed and hip hop gets this wack image with rappers like Hurricane Chris
I mean what guy gets so hot up in the club that he's gotta take his shoes off?!?!
