I live in a hot place, and between each 30 girls or so, I find one wearing a jacket. I'm not making fun of them or drawing misjudgements... I just am curious to know why they do that. Is it that they get cold regardless of the hot weather? Is it fashion? Or what?

most of them wear 'coz it is fashionable.. some wear to cover up... and i have seen people wearing 'coz the t-shirt was displyed with a jacket at the store :) so... they think the shirt doesnt go well without a jacket :)
whatever the reason may be i have seen people who wear too :)... it is kind of weird though

Well I wear a jacket/sweater alot. Most of the time its cold in my school, or I really hate whatever shirt I was forced to wear (because there is nothing else thats clean). And then there is the fact i have these bump things on my upper arms and if i wear a shirt that has sleves that are too small sometimes I just wanna hide the bumps. I don't know if its "fashion" or not, but if they are comfortable it shouldn't really matter.
As for that girl who made the statement about goths, I resent that. Did you ever happen to think that they like wearing that sweater? No you didn't because you are ignorant so don't make stupid accusations.

This is just a guess but if it's hot outside and they're wearing a jacket...I don't think they're cold...they probably just want to cover up. I'm kind a chunky girl...ok I'm overweight and live in northern MN and have always looked forward to the fall because that meant sweaters, sweatshirts, jackets...you get the idea.

I think most of them wear jackets because they match with what they're wearing. Some of them have things to hide, like scars or tattoos or inappropiate clothes for school.
Back when I was in 8th grade, I was in an electric scooter wreck and a good majority of the skin was torn off my arm. It was hot outside then, and I just wanted to hide my arm until it was healed.

I live in South Florida and I see the same thing, have no clue as to what these girls are thinking!!!first of all they look ridiculous in 100 degree weather wearing something for up North in the snow

Well some girls would risk everything to look "cool", but since they're wearing jackets they're actually "hot", but in the bad way!

Sometimes its fashion and some get chills/cold in hot weather due to health problems.....

Fashion or maybe they are uncomfortable with part of their bodies. I used to wear a sweater/jacket no matter what to cover my upper arms.

i have an obsession with jackets and i am lucky i live somewhere cold, if you mean jacket then fashion, i love trench coats, but if you mean sweatshirt then they are probably cold since sweatshirts aren't incredibly fashionable although some are

i wear jackets in hot days because i always know that my class room gets cold.
I forget to take it off because i don't like putting them in my backpack and i don't like tying them on my waist.
I used to wear jackets in the morning as well because where i live it gets really cold in the morning and then i get stuck with it in the afternoon.
