Does this mean that the spread is zero? I noticed that the only games like this are ranked teams verse 1-AA teams. Why would the make the spread zero for such a lopsided game?

It means that in Las Vegas the game is not availible for betting. The Las Vegas sports books do not make available spreads for any games that involves a Championship Subdivision, the former 1-AA division. Also games involving Ivy League teams are not available for wagering either, so no spreads are used.
When a game is not not made available for wagering, and no spread is given, then the contests must list the game with a spread of 0.
