Okay, I'm 13 years old and my cousin who is the same age as me has a talent agency. She had to send in her resume, headshot, cover letter, etc. Now, I have no problem to send all those stuff to that agency, but maybe I could take a little short cut. I was wondering if I could ask my cousin's mom if she could introduce me to one of the agents who works there. Could that work?

You've got the right idea, but not quite. It's called a referral. You ask your Aunt if you can use them as a referral then mail in your submission and mention them in your cover letter as your referral. You can even ask her to hand deliver your submission to make sure it gets seen but you shouldn't ask for an introduction because it puts everyone on the spot. The agent isn't ready, your Aunt gets put in a position that she may not want to be in, and the only one who was ready was you. If the agent likes your photo and resume they will set up an audition.

good luck

Why don't you do the same as your cousin but in your cover letter put how people recommended that agency to you and you decided to give it a try.
You don't want the agency to know right off that you have a relative there. If you're able to sign a contract with them, then just pretend to be surprised and just milk it a little by saying how famous the agency must be.
Unfortunately people like you trying to get into the business isn't as lucky as most stars who have family working in the business.
Always better to be safe than sorry.

Well, at least ask her for the agent's name and address your submission to him at the agency. Now the letter has to be from your parent asking the agency to represent you. That is all the letter says. Nothing more. You cannot impress an agent and they don't have time to read a bunch of baloney. Of course the big question is, is the agency a good one? so would you please click on my name, read my profile, and send me the name of the agency? Thanks. and at 13 what do you have on your resume?
