why do some ppl feel guilty after sex?

I don't mean after you've slept with a hooker or a ....nannny....but with your lover or spouse?

It has to do with their education and upbringing.

Some people are taught that sex is wrong or bad or dirty since childhood; so breaking these patterns is not easy and usually takes a lot of hard work. (Other people were badly hurt in romantic relationships and never healed; so they have severe trust issues and cannot entirely trust their partner.)

Some people see that they have a problem and go to therapy or to church meetings to feel better; but some just ignore their feelings and do nothing about them.
It depends...everyone is different.... Just my opinion.

Religion abuses sexuality with all their abstinence and propriety talk. That doesn't go away just because of a ritual! These 'morals' are imbedded in one's psyche like a blood sucking tick. It usually takes a lot of work and maybe counselling to fix this.

Other forms of sexual abuse can also cause these sorts of problems.

Yes, i do feel that way sometimes and i have a child with my man, we are not married and even if we were i think i would still feel that way sometimes because i was taught that sex is really for making children and not just to do.
