Advertisers pay HUGE amounts of money to have commercials on popular radio stations! That's where the money is supposed to come from. But anyone who knows anything about the music industry also knows about "payola". Payola is when a record company pays radio stations to play their artist's singles. It's against the law but it happens all the time.

Its a job for them just like any other job. Some company owns the station and pays them a salary. Radio stations earn money from advertising.

You ever wonder why the same songs keep playing ?? Wonder no more !! Record labels & Advertisers pay radio stations ...It pays to be in Radio $$$$$$
