i am 23 weeks pregnant and i was just wondering why they tell you not to take asprin and especially not in your 3rd trimester.......

I do believe that since aspirin thins the blood, you are at a greater risk for bleeding complications during childbirth.

Aspirin is a blood thinner and can cause major problems to the baby. It has also been linked to Reyes syndrome, I'm not sure if the baby can get that before it's born.

I had to take aspirin while I was pregnant because I have a gene disorder and without the aspirin I had a higher risk of miscarriage.

Aspirin is a blood thinner. It could lead to SERIOUS problems during child birth. If you need something for pain, it's safe to take Tylenol.
My docs said no ibuprofen either (Motrin or Advil)

Because it's a blood thinner and can cause the placenta to abrupt.

It thins your blood, so if you were to have any bleeding problems it would make it ten times worse.
