Be very wary of "online" courses for social work. Most of these are not recognized by the profession. Be sure that any program you are taking is connected to a CSWE accredited BSW program, otherwise it is this that will make it difficult for you to get a job.

I don't think it will hurt you, but it may help you to find a small part time job with a few hours each week to give you the experience of having a job. Also, if you have a job where you can work just a few hours a week you can learn how to juggle multiple responsibilities, it would be good for you I think.
You don't want to fall behind in class, but you should also not be afraid to push yourself to learn what you really are capable of.

well at some point in your life, you have to have your first job. then same thing happened too my sister, when she was 16/17, no job wanted to hire that young of a kid, so she had a hard time trying to find a job, but if you are going to wait till you are older, then there is a better chance of you getting the job. just be sure to dress appropriately for your job, have on the greatest smile, and be prepared to no what to say. GOOD LUCK IN THE FUTURE

it's hard to get a first job. they all want experience. I'm 16 and am in the 11th grade also. I now have a job, but it took a couple of months to get it. But yes, you will still be able to get a job.

In most parts of country social service agencies are in need of people with degree and will probably hire you wo exp.
Whatever u do avoid vermont like the plaugue because so called social agencies here are frauds. I bought a house here and have been forced to change fields to education because of the medicaid mills. They do however hire people with criminal histories and anti social personalities by the truckload

It's always to have a start, even if it's not what you want to do. It shows responsibility, and gives a prospective employer someone to contact for information about your work ethic and ability, ect.

It shouldn't be a problem, they don't care much about jobs you had in high school.
