Most string art is only geometric shapes. Is there any way I could do one that isn't, like making flames or something? Thanks in advance!

I am supposing you are speaking of string art with a board and nails? Basically use a wrench to bend the nails and you will be able to wrap the string in more abstract dimensions.

Flames are geometric, you just have to draw it on paper ahead of time to decide where your nails need to go. You'll have orange and yellow string crossing each other. If you want to do other pictures that have circles and curves, you just put many nails, close together to make a curve.

You might want to check out the links for making "string art" (also called spirella or spirelli) on this page of my website too:

(... click on THREADS, ETC., then scroll down to STRING ART...)
