I mean, if he wasn't allowed to cheat.... Guess the ownership at Cleveland made him play by the rules and he decided that wasn't the best way to get job security and fame and fortune, so he sold his soul to the football devil.... Sinner...

Cheaters never win, my Patriot fan friends. Your team's legacy is now ruined. I feel sorry for you, but perhaps in the future your team will rebound (fairly) and become competitive.... My prediction is a 8-8 record for the New England Pathetics this year without the cheating.

You're an idiot...The Patriots are going to the Super Bowl...and thats #4 when they win...#6 overall that they've been in...You're either a Colts fan or Charger fan...a SCARED fan...At least Colt 45 has sense to know the truth...

I think it was wrong what the Patriots did...and they should have and did get fined...but this is a rule violation...not a felony...Keep it real, people...This is not Vick...

Belicheck was never regarded as an "elite" coach until he started coaching the Pats. Sure hes a disciple of Parcells, but there are alot of coaches that served under Parcells and that doesn't guarantee greatness. It is funny how he was pretty bad in Cleveland and then became such a great coach in New England. His "prevent" defense cost Cleveland a run in the playoffs during the 90's.

*edit* To those who say Cleveland football is bad may I remind you that perhaps the greatest running back of all time played for them in Jim Brown. Also, they had great teams in the late 80's that would have led to super wins if not for John Elway. Belicheck had plenty of talent to work with and took them to the AFC divisional playoffs only to use a "prevent" defense that failed. The Browns have been terrible since they rejoined the league in 1999, but it wasnt that long ago that the Patriots were the laughing stock of the NFL. You know what NFL stands for right? "Not For Long"

Bill Parcels. I'm a pats fan but i'm sick of the "genius of belichick." Belichick was a crappy HC till he got to the Pats. Ask a browns fan about Bill Belichick. Look at Tuna, success with more than 1 team, and ultimately a much better judge of talent and better at "buying the groceries and making the meal" there is no past prime for a head coach. they arent on the field playing football.

Hard to argue against 3 Super Bowl wins. Cheating goes on all the time. Barry Bonds, Tim Donaghy, and now Belichick didn't invent cheating and aren't the first to do it. They are just the latest to get caught. And there will be others.

If anyone thinks that games should be forfeited they are a chump in my book.

3 SuperBowl rings...no he is better than he was in Cleveland with a better team than Cleveland had or ever will have. It's not cheating when every other team in the NFL sucks compared to the Patriots. Get over it.

He was a horrible coach in Cleveland, but then all coaches are horrible in Cleveland. I will be very interested to see how the rest of this year pans out.

No
I don't follow the Pats be he seems to be as good as the next guy- probably a better team manager than an actual traditional coach
