Being popular is different from having friends..
With the way she looks, girls are afraid to be her friends and it's for sure guys are not thinking of friendship when they are around her
So, if she wants friends ( and who doesn't) they have to be purchased...

b/c technically Barbie is only the white blonde blue-eyed doll, everyone doesn't look that way, so they created friends so that everyone can have a doll that resembles them, but I call them Barbies anyway, i think most people do
