Too early to tell at this time... The key will be who gets the most 3rd party support - and who will be able to drop their price to under $200 first ;););)

HD DVD - better compatibility

Some say Sony released the PS3 the way it is just to get Blue-Ray players into millions of homes, but for now, DVD is king.

To me is the same ,but some say that Blue-ray is the best that the HD DVD.

lg offers support for both hd and blu ray, its impossible to keep up as they have already designed 2 or 3 more laser technologies that are far superior to either of these...

again check lg, they have a dual hd/blu ray optical drive if thats what your looking for :)

hd dvd you can flip (have reg version on one side and hd on other)
can't do that with blueray

the studios are just taking side
NBC-HD
Sony blueray

ahh yes the hd format war. well so far blu-ray is winning, but both are just as good.
