Me and my mother have been seeing a black butterfly/moth wanting to get into our house. Is this bad luck or death? There have been several unexpected deaths when we have seen the black butterfly/moth.

Butterflies are a symbol for the "soul". I recently saw a yellow butterfly (meaning joy) slashed in almost four pieces (each wing) There are things meant to be taken as signs in nature. But black does not necessarily mean evil or Death. White is the symbol of Death in some culture.

The butterfly and the moth are both signs of metamorphosis (change). The Caterpillar dose not die to become the winged creature it will become. Just as we do not stop existing when our human body no longer serves its purpose. Transformation and shape shifting. The color black is also a color of protection. It dose not always mean bad luck. With this new information why don't you look at it from a different perspective. Butterflies and moths are flighty creatures. They try and teach us not to take everything so seriously.
PEACE and LOVE BE :):):)

I'm sorry to break it to you, but this is a bad sign. According to the "Angana Thackata," crows, especially black crows almost always signify death or near-death. For every "caw" uttered when two people are watching, one day will pass before an event. Most likely your boyfriend is the target; protect him well, and enjoy the next few days. One more thing: if the weather on the day of the event is sunny, death is almost certain. If the weather is cloudy, severe injury or maiming is more likely. If the weather is rainy, you've been granted a reprieve, and are safe from death for at least 4 years. Pray for rain.

For me, a black moth that appears on the front door is usually death coming to someone in my family. One black moth appeared out of nowhere, and in one week my sister died. Another one appeared last week, now my brother is deadly sick at the hospital. I get chills everytime I see one.

It just means you saw a black butterfly or most likely a moth. Neither is evil, bad luck or means death. I saw one on our deck this summer, black, with small white circles. I found out the name on the internet, but it didn't cross my mind to call it "evil".
