The first is the only way you just might
be able to accomplish the second.
No guarantees though.

At this time, there is no known way of going back in time, so whether it would be hard or easy is total conjecture.

Black holes are assumed to exist - many observations of astronomical objects appear to meet the theoretical predictions of a black hole. If we go by the theory of black holes, once you pass the event horizon it is completely and totally impossible to escape back out.
However, some theorists posit that if you approach a rotating singularity at the right angle you will exit the entire object through a "white hole" (which are not theoretically possible at this time.

So if we just go on what we think we know, escaping a black hole is harder (since we don't know how hard travelling in time would be).

well going back in time is physically im possible and that was proven by einstien, time viewing is possible, not traveling. and the fastest thing we know of is light, and it was thought for a long time that it didnt go faster than about 186,000 miles a second. now we have been able to accelerate it to several times faster by sending it through a certain gas, maybe that would be fast enough to let it escape the black holes gravitational pull, although i wouldnt let us see it or anything. and we would have to build a chamber full of that gas that extends to the black hole...

i would say the second one is more possible, but not for an object with mass because they cant exceed the speed of light.

so both are impossible.

I'm 1,0000% sure that both are impossible, therefore there's no easier or harder involved with either.

Back in time is harder.

No one has ever done either, so your guess is as good as mine.
