how can i enable winrar to prompt me to put password first before seeing the file and before extracting. (2 or more times winrar will ask me to put password.) i know how to put password to winrar but it allows me to input the password only before i extract the file not before i open it. please guide me.

Unfortunately, there is no way to do this - they built in the option for the user to be able to see whatever files the archive contains to ensure that they have downloaded the CORRECT archive (and not one that may contain either a virus - or a completely different program) ;););)

well, as far as i know, to do like that you must compressed it 2 times...
so: files->wwinrar+passsword->*.rar files->winrar+password again.
