I have no idea if this is only rumour, but it's her money, and she has been giving so much to the society already, so why do you have ill feeling towards her?

Reading the high quality journalism in the check out line????
You know that these ridiculous rumors are going to start over just about anyone who is wealthy now, who has pets; don't you???
The only comment about the care of her beloved pets that Oprah has ever made occurred last year when she and Stedman were involved in a plane difficulty when they were traveling and had to make an emergency landing.
I believe that the plane windshield was broken and there was a high probability that they were going to crash over the ocean.
She commented that she had returned home and legally made provisions for her dogs to be taken care of; because she had realized in that moment of panic; that she had not done so.
She has appointed a close friend or close friends to be responsible for them, and left money for them to do so. It has never been stated how much money, I am sure she knows how much money she spends on a yearly basis for her pets care, and she has considered those facts in her bequest.
You do know how many millions of dollars of her own money she gives away on a yearly basis?? You do know that the majority of these donations are never discussed or accredited to her, correct??? This is what she has chosen to do. She has the right to do whatever she wants with her money, and has done so.
She was born into an extremely poor family and has worked for decades to become wealthy; nothing has been handed to her.
I happen to have the pleasure of knowing some college age young people who have been given financial assistance by Oprah, because of their hard work, extreme need and familial circumstances that have come to Oprah's' attention. This has all been done without their knowledge while they are attending school, and they have been notified upon graduation. Pretty phenomenal, I would say.
It is a bit different than someone who marries into an already amassed industrial wealth; and is known for treating people poorly like Ms. Helmsley. Ms. Helmsley did donate a great deal of money to charities of her choice, and that dog was her closest friend; so I can understand the logic behind it. I could be sure that if anyone complaining about this type of thing was left any funds in a will from her, the jealousy would be gone.
My family and I are average working people, but my husband and I have wills set up each other, for our children and future grandchildren as well as our present and future pets in case of our demise.
It is not millions of dollars, by any means, but it is a reasonable amount of money so that everyone will be taken care of, schooling for our grandchildren and funds for an appointed caretaker to care for our pets without having to pay for the expenses out of their own pockets.
You are obviously not a pet owner, or too young to realize that you are obligated to take care of these type of things in case life ends sooner than you would like to think.
You really need to improve your reading material. There are a lot of true dilemmas and problems in the world to be thinking about. The less of the garbage in, garbage out thinking you participate in, the better your life will be.
Have a good day.

You really need to stop getting your news from TMZ. Oprah has a much larger concept of what money can do for others... more so than anyone in America. She grew up dirt poor and realizes how far she has come. Dogs are nice friends, but they can't use a debit card and they sure don't know what to do with a pocket full of hundreds... except eat or poop on them...

The dog (Canis lupus familiaris) is a domestic subspecies of the wolf, a mammal of the Canidae family of the order Carnivora. The term encompasses both feral and pet varieties and is also sometimes used to describe wild canids of other subspecies or species. The domestic dog has been (and continues to be) one of the most widely-kept working and companion animals in human history, as well as being a food source in some cultures. The dog is also the first animal from Earth to enter into space and fly into orbit.
The dog has developed into hundreds of varied breeds. Height measured to the withers ranges from a few inches in the Chihuahua to a few feet in the Irish Wolfhound; color varies from white through grays (usually called blue) to black, and browns from light (tan) to dark ("red" or "chocolate") in a wide variation of patterns; and, coats can be very short to several centimeters long, from coarse hair to something akin to wool, straight or curly, or smooth.
Oprah Gail Winfrey (born January 29, 1954) is the American multiple-Emmy Award winning host of The Oprah Winfrey Show, the highest rated talk show in television history.[1] She is also an influential book critic, an Academy Award-nominated actress, and a magazine publisher. She has been ranked the richest African American of the 20th century,[2] the most philanthropic African American of all time,[3] and the world's only black billionaire for three straight years.[4][5][6][7] She is also, according to several assessments, the most influential woman in the world.[8][9]

I think Oprah is absolutely worthless, but even more worthless are people that think that they should be able to decide what other people should do with their money.
If you want to save the poor, then go out, get rich, and give all YOUR money to the poor. Oprah can spend a million dollars on hair extensions and it's none of your damned business.

you are ridiculous for believing it. Oprah helps millions of people with her money. I'm sure that she would provide for the dogs though because she loves them as well.

Yeah I'm pretty sure that Oprah would remeber that doggies can't spend money. Besides, she's donated most of her money to charity anyway.

Oprah already does plenty for people in need. How selfish are you? Those animals need her help and I wasn't aware that she was going to do that, but now that I know then I commend her for it. Go sit down somewhere........now...., and you should be ashamed.
