I have an 2002 CLS 108k miles, idle is running low, about 1000 to 750 rpm check engine light has just come on, can anyone give me an idea as to whats going on and what to expect in repair costs?

Well it's not running low, it's running just a little bit high. It should be between 500-750 rpms. Could be the idle control motor, something like that. I agree, I would just go over to Autozone and get them to read the codes from the engine computer. Most likely they will do this for free.

that's a pretty high idle. Auto Zone will read your trouble codes from the check engine lite
