It's ALWAYS a good time for a Yankees losing streak, any time from Opening Day to the end of the season.

They got those losing streaks out of their system in April and May, they are on a roll now, even though they lost tonight. Do you know why they won't have any long losing streaks? They got rid of people like Igawa, Proctor, and Myers, and also Farnsworth rarely sees the mound anymore Igawa has been called up, but he won't be used. Mo is back to his old self, Wang has 18 wins, Pettitte is pitching well, and the bullpen has been great. They've got a lot of young arms, and not as many old, overpaid guys who the Yankee haters love to rag on us about. I think they have as good a chance of winning the Series as anyone.
Not to sound like a jerk here, but the Tigers aren't going to overtake them. Even if the Yankees go into a slump, the Tigers would have to be 4 games better than the Yankees, and the Tigers' pitching is worse. The Tigers are like the Yankees earlier this year, having to outscore everyone to win. The Yankees have Boston next, and face Dice-K, who they have beat like a drum this season even though he's 2-1 (his ERA is almost 7.00 against them). The Yankees also have Baltimore who hasn't been playing well, and they own Toronto.
As for the Angels fans who think they will beat up on the Yankees, this isn't the same old Yankee team the Angels faced before. This team has a much better bullpen, remember Joba blowing away Guerrero last month? I hope the Angels are overconfident if they play the Yankees. No washed-up Randy Johnson, or bust Jaret Wright this year.

It'd be nice for the Tigers, Sox, Angels, Mariners and Indians. If it were combined with a nice Tigers win streak I'd be happy.

You mean like the Cubs have right now? I hope the goat went to New York.
Also to the person that said 2000 was this century. There was no year 0 it went right from 1BC to 1 AD meaning that the century started in 2001 no 2000.

Yep, sounds like a good time for that. I want them to lose all the rest of the games in this season, and then lose 162 games next season. A day with a yankees win is like a day without sunshine.

You'd like that wouldn't you?
Actually, I think you'd rather love that. A lot of people would...But....
But don't count my Yanks out just yet. There's still hope. We're not, (at least I'm not) counting out the Tigers yet! Or any team for that matter.. .
Yankees Love. <3
