I would like to move to Cleveland Heights. Its diverse, low crime, and there are different classes of people there, from art students to doctors. Everybody seems to get along.

After living in Rocky River for my whole 22 years, I have to say I'm extremely partial to the city. The school system is magnificent, the crime rate is insanely low, it's barely 20 minutes from downtown Cleveland and right on the lake. Yes, it's a little expensive, but I think it's worth it.

Berea - For all the reasons Richard said plus, It hasn't gone through a major poupaltion increase like Strongsville, Medina, Avon etc. So this means there's little traffic, it's still quiet and still reatains some of the small town atmosphere. Also it's a college town so there's a good mix of age groups.

Westlake. The schools are excellent. Lots of local celebrities live in Westake, like sports players, newscasters, etc. It's very safe. It has upscale shopping at Crocker Park. Lots of parks are nearby in surrounding Bay Village and North Olmsted. It's close enough to the lake to plan an outing. They have a great community center for swimming, exercise, and play. It's only 20 minutes away from downtown Cleveland night life, restaurants, and sports games and much closer to the city of Detroit and Canada than living on the east side of Cleveland if you like visiting casinos.
There are downsides though; it's expensive, snobbish, and doesn't have a lot of diversity. You might feel out of place if you're not driving a luxury car or can't afford a multi-level home.

Westlake. It is close to downtown via 2 different freeways. It is in close proximity to the turnpike (I-80). It has excellent schools. The services are great. The housing runs the gammut from affordable to outrageous. There is Crocker Park, and in close proximity, Great Northern Mall. There are plenty of great restaurants. There is St. John Westshore Hospital...a great community hospital. The best thing about all of Northeastern Ohio is the people.

Lakewood! Great city services and schools. Close to downtown. Very diverse in all ways. A nice community of front porches where people stop and sit and get to know their neighbors. You cant ask for more than that!

Chagrin Falls - east side
Great schools, beautiful homes that continue to increase in value every year, low crime rate, picturesque in every way.
