i have a front loader washer. how do i keep it from making my clothes smell like mildew. i've tried cleaning the washer with bleach and even washing a cylcle with no clothes in it just a bunch of bleach.any suggestions.pls help!!

With the door open, look at the rubber seal in the front (where the door fits into when closed). This seal probably forms a lip, and you can lift under it from the inside. Make sure this area is clean, as it is a good place for mold and mildew to form. (The seal is air-tight when closed). You should also clean out the area where you put the detergent and bleach, following your manual, and let that dry before reinserting.

Like the person above said, you're supposed to leave your front load washers open until they dry after washing. I wish I had known this before I bought mine, because that is almost impossible to do with children in the house.

Leave the door open when not in use so the it can dry out the drum. Hotels have the same problem.

Run it again with hot water and a bottle of vinegar. With some baking soda.
