My parents tell me I spend too much time ont the computer editing my videos. I want to burn DVD's as well, my computer won't do that either. I have DVD-R's that say 16x on the side. Anyway, Should I ask for a laptop or argue for more time on the computer? If I were to get a laptop What kind?

An Apple notebook is perfect for editing movies. The only thing is, is that video editing software, and burning DVD's uses a lot of energy and you'll run into a lot of recharging periods during your editing.

That goes for any notebook. It all depends on what you want to do.

laptop--- get a macbook or something from Apple. Although expensive it can be used for a multitude of production projects. It will do all of the above.

If you are primarily editing videos I would stick with Alien Ware.
