alot of european countrys have govenment imposed prices on staple foods, milk, bread, eggs, flour, cheese. etc its to make sure that when funds are low you can still live with a staple diet.

I lived in greece a few years ago & couldnt believe the fuss as a new government put up the price of staple foods by about 30p per item. no joke they were rioting in the streets about it.

maybe for italians "pasta" is the same ?

Oh no! THe last time that happened was during the 1920's. Two weeks later the wall street crash happened and through a cmplicated chain of events it led to the second world war, atomic weapons and the cold war between the West and the Soviet Union, ultimately leading to the assasination of JFK!!!!

It's all the fault of the Greens and the users of gas guzzlers who want renewable sourced fuel.

Convert a food crop into vehicle fuel so creating higher prices and/or shortages of food.

Italian pasta, German beer, Mexican maize, wheat etc. are current examples.

Poorer nations will just starve...

Yes, I saw that in the newspaper, this morning. I don't think it will make any real difference. It is still going to go up, you either buy it or not. LOL
