when i first got it it use to last a long time without the charger now it only last like 20 mins without charger should i change battery, can i request that only ppl who are familiar with laptops or pl who are experts answers this question?

It could be that your battery is going bad. Have you let it charge all the way down? How long have you had it. Try letting it discharge all the way to nothing and then charge it back up fully before using it.
See if there's a "deep charge" option on the laptop. If not, you're probably looking at having to get a new battery.

Changing the battery on most laptop's is simple.
Remember each brand is a little different.
It is tough to summon Laptop experts for advise when you fail to tell WHAT BRAND you are talking about.
The best sure fire way to find out how for your particular brand is det out the paperwork that came with your computer. This is really a No Brainer.
Be sure you get the right battery.

It might help to run your LT's battery optimizer.
It will completely drain the battery then give it a complete new charge.

like every rechargeable battery, they wear out. so yes replace it
