I've only had facebook for a few weeks but so far its seemed very safe to me. I've heard that facebook is the safest profile site out there.
Facebook lets you limit who see's your profile, when you get a friend request they ask you how you know this person and you can check your msn list to see who on it has facebook. I'd safe its pretty safe. You should deffinitly make a facebook, all the stuff you can do on the site is pretty fun.

Yes it is. Anything is safe just as long as you use common sense and don't believe or friend people you don't know.

facebook is much safer than myspace because it's much harder to hack into a persons profile. as long as you only add people you know, facebook's will be perfectly safe.

If you're worried, just make your page thing private... the only time a website is directly dangerous to you is if you give away where you live and set up a date with a creepy old guy.

yeah, its pretty safe, but being on the internet at all...you are accepting certain risks. Depends on what you put out there.

it's just like myspace or any other site. but, it's for people to keep in touch with class mates mostly. i'm on there, but i never check it...it's boring.
