i need one and how do i find out which kind i need from the store?

The type of card depends on the computer and motherboard. There are different slots to plug a video card into, and the video card only plugs into one kind of slot. You can look up the kind of slot you have online if you know what kind of computer you have, and what motherboard is in it. Otherwise, take the video card into the store with you and they will know what you can replace it with.
I bought my pc at Micro Center and they have records so when I need a part they just look it up on their system.
