Everytime I "harshly" rub deorderant under my arms,I get this painful lump under my arm it goes away within a week.I started getting this from rubbing to hard about a year ago .Before a year ago I always put on deorderant really hard, but now I can't.I just want to know could there be something serious as the culprit.Let me also point out that my sister and mom have been getting them to since a year ago.Coincedence?:s

OK - you said doctors only, but I can think of two likely causes - either an allergic reaction to the deodorant, or a condition called Hidradenitis suppurativa.

H. Suppurativa is kind of like a mega acne problem/boil that develops in certain types of sweat glands found in the armpit. This seems more likely than an allergy, as it runs in families, and allergies don't usually hurt. Best thing to do is switch to product that does not contain any of the same ingredients as the deodorant that might be causing the problem, and see if this still occurs. You may need to switch to an unscented antiperspirant or a powder-based deodorant.

It could be any number of things - some of them very bad. Go SEE a doctor! Really - go see a doctor.
