Hi. I have to finish my introduction to an investigation I will be doing, finding the relationship between heights and weights amongst school pupils..

However I am now chosing my second hypothesis (e.g 16 yr old males are taller and heavier than 12 year old females).. But I have to incorporate advanced statistical methods into it, to get the higher grade.. What should I say??

Thanks in advance

instead of using a t-test or z-test to support you finding do a permutation test. A permutation test was the original idea for statistical testing but was impossible to do until we had computers to do the hundreds of thousands of calculations need to complete one. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/resampling_...

or send me an email and I'll give you more more help on how to do a permutation test and understand the output.

You need to do a hypothesis test. Buy Minitab.
