I have been parking my car in this small housing close near my house for years. I no all the neighbours there and they dont mind me parking my car there as there is plenty of space.

The other night i parked my car there, came back in the morning and found it clamped. All the neighbours tryed to stop them but apparently they had put a clamp sign up 2 days before.

I found this to be very unfair how a private clamping company can just put a sign up and start clamping cars. They even clamped a guys car in his own open garage.

knowing that they took pictures, I was not gona pay £120. So I decided to get a hacksaw and cut it off, which took me 2 minutes to do.

What do you think will happen now???

Apparently a few people have done this and nothing has happened as these extortionists dont wont to pay money to go to court.

Any advise?

Is this a company that moved in uninvited and started clamping or is it one the owners of the development you have been using as a parking lot hired? If the latter, it is their right to restrict parking to certain people and you violated that right.

Do nothing, just don't park there again.

You'll be busted. When they clamp your car, the vehicles' information is logged.
Don't be surprised if you get a notice in the mailbox with a larger fine due to the cost of the clamp.
Should have paid or fought the ticket.

Depends on who the entity is that "Booted" your car.
If it was a city parking enforcment device, your in trouble and will likely surface when you go to renew your tags... If it was a private towing enforcment company, they're mostly just theives witha license themselves, so they may not do anything... it depends...

I'm a yank and haven't heard of the practice. Sorry mate,
but if it were me, think I'd just take my chances that the
thieves have the gall to get the law involved.

Never heard of that practice where Im from. Here they just tow it away at your expense and you have to pay impound to get it out.
