More digestible perhaps if expressed as 1 pound-ft/min^2, where the pound is mass (lbm), not force.
1 N is 1 kg-m/s^2. So multiply 1 lbm-ft/min^2 by kg/lbm*m/ft*(s/min)^2 = 1/2.204622622 * 0.3048 * 1/3600 to get 3.84042E-5 N. Or just google "1 lb ft/minute^2 in N".
