The Onondaga, Seneca, Tuscarora, Mohawk, Cayuga and Oneida Nations belonged to the Rotinosohni (Haudenosaunee) or Iroquois Confederacy. All six of the languages are related to mine, Cherokee, and we dealt with them often in the old days.

The Six Nations are the oldest participatory democracy (where men and women were equal) on the planet.
