How do I know the majority of the troops believe in the war? I was there. I still serve and talk to troops deployed and those that have come back.

I believe a contact I know, whom I deeply respect said this best:

"I will do what I do every day. I will put on my uniform with pride and remember why I still serve. I will follow the orders of the President of the United States and the officers appointed over me. I will defend this county against all enemies, foreign and domestic.

I'm not brain-washed and don't worship Bush. I have served under 4 Presidents, Republican and Democrat, and will continue to serve no matter who wins the election.

I serve my county and not a political party or agenda. I believe in my country and in what I do."

The Troops in Iraq have a job to do, that is their dedication.
As a civilian I believe in their hard work. I respect and support them and show my appreciation to them whenever I can.

I support the troops by sending care packages, writing to my elected officials and attending protests. I have a nephew in Iraq and he and many others would disagree with your statement " that this is a just war and we are doing the right thing and makig progress".
I have to wonder about how Mr. bush says he supports the troops, then sends them to Iraq with inferior equipment and technology, then they have to jump through hoops to get the benefits they were promised, when they come home.

The military personell involved in the war are doing what their orders tell them. They did not make the decision to go to war, GWB decided that for them, and bullied the Congress into going along with him. I support the troops 100%, even though I feel we have no business in Iraq. As I said before, it wasn't their choice, and they're doing the duty they enlisted to do. I
don't believe the military polls its' members as to whether they think any war is a good idea.
The same should be said for Vietnam veterans. They were called, they went, and they did their jobs.
For the Veterans of both Vietnam and Iraq, I am grateful. For the Commander-in-Chief, not so much.

I support our troops no matter what. I listen to soldiers that have actually experienced the war in Iraq. I have 4 family members in the marines. 2 cousins, an uncle, and a brother in law. 2 are in Iraq right now on their 2nd deployment, one just got back from his 2nd deployment, and the other has served one deployment in Iraq, and was involved in the battle of Falluja in Afghanistan. They know what is going on over there and have convinced me that the media and those anti war politicians are all full of ****. God bless the Marines and all of our other service members.

I don't know where anyone who says, "The majority of our troops in Iraq believe [fill in the blank]" get their numbers. Do you REALLY think that our soldiers in Iraq are taking the time to fill out surveys and take polls? And if they are, seriously... we need to bring them home, because clearly, there's nothing else for them to do.

I think they spend their off-duty time missing their famlies, and playing cards and listening to music, just like all of Bush's propaganda films about Iraq show us they're doing.

I support the troops. They don't choose their mission. And they didn't all suddenly join the military after we invaded Iraq.

For the last time, I support the troops. they are good people who think they're doing the right thing, or at least protecting each other. I DO NOT support the war in Iraq, I think it is a diversion from finding Bin Laden and a waste of resources.

Hell yeah I support the troops. I don't even begin to pass judgment on what they feel is right. I won't ever, because I haven't ever set foot in that country and had to lead that life for a 12 month tour. My brother did, and I know that being there he hated those people. He was glad that we were able to go over there and liberate the innocent from all of those a**holes. Anybody who doesn't support those troops can kiss my a**.

Edit: And Bruce J, you know what they should do? Take you out in a back alley and fill your selfish, cold-hearted a** with bullets. You are a disgrace to the average American. The fact that you can't even support men and women doing their job, so that you don't have to, makes you worse than the scum in Iraq.

I think that most solider are sick of fighting I don't know how they can live in 113 degree heat all the time. I think it 's both between doing the right thing and making progress. I support them and I incourage them to keep up the progress and that we can't wait for them to continue fighting. I will be joining the millitary after college in 8yrs.

No matter what, the troops deserve our complete support.
They're doing their job and putting their lives on the line based on their commitments. That's very honorable even though their commitments happen to be to people who may not be deserving of the trust these soldiers and their families have put in them. Just because the people in charge may not have the right motives for using these precious lives, doesn't mean we shouldn't support them.
