Is no way that silence is the correct answer,However is better to keep silence then to answer correct or wrong that can cause trouble to you or to anyone.My parents use to say, if you can't say something good it's better you say nothing at all.

Silence is the best weapon for an argument that leads no where. That's why it is better to remain reticent on things that will not earn good ones. On this manner, you will avoid further conflict and this will slow down heated discussions. With this strategy silence is the best way and the correct answer in everything.

Most of thought is silence. We only see the finite part of it as an answer, but much silence has contributed to the thought process. It is interesting that in the philosophy category "I don't know" is a legitimate answer, while in other categories it is considered a failure.
Also, I remember in a Woody Allen movie he had turned in his existential philosophy exam blank because he didn't understand any of it, and he was given a 100% score by the instructor. That made me laugh.
