i know that the box says "up to 5 days before the missed period" but is that really true??
i want to test either tomorrow or saturday morning because we are having a bbq that will have some mixed drinks and wine coolers this weekend, and i want to know if i am or not, not that i want to get drunk, but sometimes i like to have a few! who doesn't!? especially if i'm NOT with child, then i'll be depressed and will want to drink! lol (don't take that too seriously anyone!)
all advice/opinions/experiences welcome! thanx ladies! and baby dust to you all and to me too!! let's hope i have a good reason NOT to sip wine coolers this weekend!! :)

I would test today. If it's negative, feel free to have a few drinks at the BBQ and if you still don't get your AF in another few days, I would test again. If it's positive, congrats! Let us know!!

You could possibly have a positive result, but even if you get a negative, I wouldn't sip any wine coolers this weekend! I am one of those women that doesn't get a positive reading until 4-5 days after my missed period! If you really think this is the month, than go alcohol free! :) Try the test tomorrow, if it is negative wait 3-4 days, and then try again... if the result is still negative then you can have a drink!

Yes I think you should go ahead and at least take a test, it wont hurt and if you are it should show up positive or you may need to wait a little longer, I got a positive the day before my missed period.

it may be too soon...I also bought the box that stated up to 5 days before and it didn't work in my case...it said negative when in fact I was positive...I waited about a week past my expected AF to take another test and it came out positive..
I would recommend you wait about a week if taking the urine test in order to build up the hcg hormone otherwise it may be too low and the test will not be able to read it accurately.

Well I figure you should take it the day you plan on drinking.If its negative you wont feel horrible drinking, and if its possitive dont drink.If it turns up possitive a few days later, I think its a little early to hurt anything anyways.Have fun,good luck

If your period is due today your test result should be pretty accurate. Most women can test positive at this point.

I don't know if you could get an accurate test!! Your best option is to see if you can get a blood test!! Why don't you buy a test and see. you could limit yourself to one drink if its neg just to make sure! thats a hard one!
