I agree with buck_futter. They only broke a rule. The rule says a camera can't be on the field, in the locker room, or in the coach's booth during a game. This meaning a personal camera, obviously TV cameras are allowed. But this doesn't mean teams can't have a guy in the stands or the press box. Video taping a person doing gestures in the open for all to see is not cheating. I heard an NFL official on the radio claim at least 10 teams have been known/accused of doing this.
This issue is not as simple as people make it out to be. How do you know what you have is useful? Do think Belichek is gonna make a change based on some hunch that the defense maybe doing this? How long do you film for? How long would it take to decipher a teams code? A game only lasts 3 hours and the play clock is 40 seconds. Please people lets be reasonable.

I don't watch much hardcore stuff anymore (it's all the same stuff now) so I'm not too sure, but that's a good one. Best stage possible, never been done finish, great story, probably Foley's last good match. That's a good example that hardcore doesn't need to mean twenty foot drops and bleeding all over the place. My only other match I can think of that was really neat was, coincidentally, Foley/Edge/Lita against Dreamer/Funk/Beulah from ONS the same year. It had a different approach and gets points taken off because it was on a smaller stage, was a six-man mixed tag match and Funk shouldn't have been wrestling, but was still really good.

I'm just going to assume they've been cheating according with the evidence. you have to realize belichick has done more then merely make a play change at the last second. He's made guy's that didn't stand out, stand out. Brady wouldn't be where he is at if Belichick wouldn't have stuck with him even when Drew came back and scored on his opening drive against the Steelers. Belichick is a great coach because he puts where they need to be according to their ability, for instance Troy Brown as CB, Brown made an above average contribution to that side of the defense. Even when his team was depleted, full of injury, Belichick make the correct player position adjustments to get them to their superbowls. And i think his team lead the league in 4th down conv. if I'm not mistaking, but maybe i am i dunno

According to a former president "it's only cheating if you get caught" then it becomes a false accusation if they cannot prosecute. Bill Belicek is a good coach that does what it takes to gain an edge. How does one know he taped the right signals and not the decoy ones. Maybe thats why the need for decoy signals. Had this not been an already used practice the need for decoy signals would just now have been created. If one was to ask the same question this way instead I wonder how the answers would come in. Did Bill Belicek, a Hillary Clinton supporter commit any wrongdoing by taping the opponents play signals ? Then substitute Bush for Hillary in same question and see the sorts of answers. Football is a game that cannot be sanitized. It is a form of sports entertainment that we love. If what he did was so wrong was it because of it being innovative, out of the box thinking. Or wrong because his team won.

Cheater.
The Patriot baggage carriers are putting out the 'everyone does it' message. True or not is beside the point. Cheating is what it is. I'm afraid the draft pick or two that will probably be the punishment will only signal that the Commissioner is weak and cheating is worth the price.

Belichick never won in Cleveland. So... Is Boston just more of a technologically savy city? Belichick never did anything that can't be refuted by cheating. He always seems to know what the other team was doing. For that we called him a genious, but maybe it wasn't genious at all, but video.

It should cast doubt on all that he has accomplished in his career heretofore, like Barry Bonds. How many Super Bowls or wins are as a result of other covert ops he has staged? Without knowing for sure, I guess we'll just have to asterisk his name if he makes it into Canton. This is why it's important to not only avoid impropriety but the mere appearance of impropriety.

New ideas? Cheating is cheating no matter how you dress it up. It's NOT cool to cheat. I always thought B.B. was one of the greatest minds to ever coach pro ball. Now that I've heard about this I'm not so sure. Anyone can win games if he knows what the other team is going to do.
