By default Halo 3 will be an offline game with an online capable mode. That's where the bulk of the fun lies in the Halo games.

Absolutely, in fact, Halo usually has huge single-player modes, even with different characters, and a huge, well drawn out storyline. Some people play Halo 1-3 without ever touching the online stuff, just because there is so much to do and see in the single player.

Well halo has always had an offline campaign and it will have an offline mode.but as the other person said most of the fun is in the online mode

There will be a single player campaign mode and probably a multiplayer split screen mode that will be playable offline.

I'm pretty sure you can play offline but i'm not really sure ask someone at the frontdesk of the store they will prboably know

ask someone in the electronics department (if you plan on buying from wal-mart) those guys are about the smartest if your asking about video games. or anything electronic.
