my advice is to work as hard as you can in practice to do everything the coaches tell you. you might have to outwork everyone else on the team to get some attention

i dont mean to put you donw or anything, but there is a lot more to being a good football player than being big and knowing how to hit like a brick wall. Sounds like you've got the starting ingredients to be very good. But i dont think anyone can say that, yes, you should be starting based on your size. What about speed, knowing the playbook, recognizing what is going on, following the play... lots and lots to go along with being big and hitting to be a good football player. Now dont get me wrong, i'm not saying that you are not good, i'm not putting you down at all because i know nothing about you except you are a big boy! Keep working hard and improving in every aspect and you will get yourself out there really soon!!
good luck man!

Unless you suck, then I would leave you at the end of the bench to balance it for my starters at the other end.
It doesn't matter how big you are. Lineman have to be more than just strong--they have to be quick enough to go at a blocker, agile enough to do so while moving backwards, and intelligent enough to know where the blocking scheme is going. You could be 6'3", 350 lbs but if you're the clumsiest kid on the block, you won't see a minute of action.

If I had Terell Owens on my middle school team I wouldt let him play because of his attitude. Attitude and heart means a lot. You may be slow, you may not have what it takes, the other guy may work harder than you. I think you should step your game up a notch, double what youve been doing, and prove to the coach that you are the guy he needs then you should get your spot. It seems like your full of yourself cuz you think you can hit. Well football is all about earning everything. Just because you can hit doesnt mean you earned what you think you deserve.

depends on how hard you were working.. i was a 6'1 265 lb. d-lineman, benching 345, and squating 515 lbs., and i didnt see a starting spot until the middle of my junior year of high school.. and it was cause i outworked the starter who was a lazy fat *** and the coach was an ******... but if you work hard you'll get there..
