If you don't realize that NOTHING is 100% effective except for abstinence you are TOO YOUNG to be having sex.

NOTHING is 100% except not having sex.

Birth controll pills alone are not 100% effective against pregnancy. By utilizing condoms and birth control pills, you greatly increase your chance of NOT getting pregnant. Also, the condom can help prevent an STD. Even if your BF has never been with another woman, an STD can still develop. Your vagina carries bacteria from time to time and when you are having sex, the bacteria can mix with his semen (he could also have bacteria) and you could get a bad infection that can only be treated by a doctor - this would be considered an STD and you both would need to be treated.

If you've been on it regular for a long time and haven't missed a pill any, chances are no. But there's always that possibility. One of my former friends has a 3 year old that shows that. But if you don't want to get pregnant, use a condom ever single time just to be extra safe.
