Yes a good player and i think he is one of the future players England can count on but we are expecting him to increase the quality of his game that should make him a world class player. I see many people basing their arguments around the last two games, lets think into the future by looking further in the past: think Cole has contributed a lot to the England team but like the whole team, most of the key players most improve their game for England to win big trophies

it depends, if he's playing well at chelsea, he should start. if he's not, hmmm, maybe yes too because i don't think england have a better left winger than him. yes joe cole contributes to the team, but recently i've heard of a comment saying joe cole kinda slows down the tempo of a team. it's really true if u watch him carefully, he tends to keep the ball and dribble instead of making quick passes which the rest of the team is doing. one more thing, he's not that good anymore since he got injured. he needs more playing time.

It doesn't matter who plays for England, just because they beat Russia and Israel, doesn't make them good, England are an ok team and always worth a good fan base. but they don't rate with the giants, Germany, Italy, France, Argentine, or Brasil,,and Spain, in the not to far distant future there are others teams that are going to come on the the scene that will push England futher down the ratings table, Englands game is still basically kick and run or head the ball anywhere until that changes, sorry guys England are considered 2nd rate, England are not the team to beat, they are the team that should be beat.

Yes they should, he's one of the most skillfull in the squad and gives the team great attacking options. England struggled to find a decent left sided midfield player before Joe Cole and without him we would have the same problem again.

Absolutely, Joe Cole contributes to the team. He is also one of the few English players that offers a skill factor that in one moment can open up the very best defences in the world.
If I may paraphrase Alex McLeish,"he is able to receive the ball in the highest company".
Joes fitness levels could be better but that's probably down to his previous injuries and not playing week in, week out, for his club.

why try and fix anything if it aint broke Joe Cole did ok for England in both matches over the last few days. I am fed up with the glamour players who seem to take from the team and give NOTHING to their country

He is playing well for England and he's the best left-sided player England have.
I prefer Joe Cole to Stuart Downing.

Joe Cole yes. Ashley Cole had a poor game. But he's in the band of over rated, over payed I'm bigger than club and country mob who don't give a toss about playing for their country. We can do without them
