No. Pregnancy tests find the "Pregnancy Hormone" in your urine. If you took two tests, and they both came out positive, your definitely pregnant. Sperm has NOTHING to do with it. Congratulations!

No, the test measures a certain hormone level which is higher both when you are due for your period or when you are pregnant.

The doctors test isn't necessarily more accurate than a bought one. I knew I was pregnant with my second child and did a shop bought test which said I was. I then when to the doctor to confirm and ended up doing 3 for them before it said I was pregnant and that was only after the doctor noted on the test I had done a positive home test.
The lab tech people check the level of hormones and mine hadn't changed. If your certain you wouldn't be due for your period about now and you had sex 3 months ago then I'm sure its correct. If your so far along then they will book you in for your dating scan so you will know soon enough. Good luck and congratulations. xxx

No, the egg would not have even implanted yet, which is when the hormones are released that show up in a pregnancy test. You were already pregnant before you had sex the last time.

No, sperm would not cause a positive test. You fooled around 3 months ago. That's when you got pregnant. You wouldn't test positive if you had sex only two days ago. A big "oops" for you. Now, it's time to grow up and make plans for your future, you're too far along to have an abortion.

No, the tests test for HCG which is a hormone that is only secreted once an embryo implants into the lining of the uterus. Sounds like you are three months pregnant... you will soon have a dating scan to confirm the dates though
Good luck... hope everything works out.

if the date of your last period was three months ago that is when you got pregnant. No sperm does not give off a postive pregnancy test.

The tests test the hormone in your pee so you were definitely pregnant before you had sex. Congratulations, if that is what you want. I hope you will be very happy.

And to you Precious, she wasn't asking for a lecture and for your information it is not too late for a termination - if that is what she wants - what made you assume this?

No sperm has nothing to do with the test. Its all your HGC Level... So you probably are 3 months... The only way to REALLY tell how far you are is by a sonogram.

No, hpt detect a hormone, NOT sperm. You are 3months gone if that was when your last period was. Go and get yourself seen by your midwife and good luck with the baby x
