the US will never leave iraq. that is because of the oil. we need the oil because oils is what gives the US dollar its worth. ever since nixon took the US dollar off the gold standar the dollar has been losing value. to the point that the US needs oil to be traded exclusively in dollars. giving the dollar its value. See before the war Sadam began trading oil in euros (now you know why we didnt like the french) so sadam needed to go. now that sadam is gone the US will stay even if we have a dem in the white house.

Not if they've got a brain in their head. We've long passed the point where we can empty Iraq of our troops. The next President will have to force Iraq's hand in forming a viable government so we can stop policing their civil war. That doesn't mean we can leave. We can't leave Iraq to Al Queda and Iran. We think we've got problems now? That would be a nightmare for us in the future that I don't even want to think about. We're stuck in Iraq, for a good long time. Am I happy about it? HELL NO.

there will always be troops in iraq (there are still troops in korea from the 1970's conflict/ not for war duty, but monitoring). democrat pres would most likely pursue high % troop pull-out (maybe leave 10% in iraq for couple yrs, then 5%.. then lower each yr...)

No, they will "Stay The Course".
Democrats caused millions to die when they pulled us out of Nam. (Over a million in just Cambodia.)
"Pullout" is just to fool the little gullible Democrat Voters.
They are soooooo easy to fool.
