I heard that the sandman was fired becuase he couldn't cut a promo is this true?

Someone lied to you.
If he was fired for not being able to cut a promo, then Jeff Hardy would be fired as well. He can't cut a promo to save his life.
They haven't revealed why Sandman was fired yet. Something must have happened after Raw. He was one of the last three people in the ring in the biggest storyline of the year. If you're going to be fired, they don't put you in that spot.

All the wwe site says is that he was released as of 9/11. No reason was given. He did give a statement though on his Myspace page.
