There's no time limit.....when it feels right you go for it.Sometimes people are with someone for years they get marrid and it doesn't work out.Sometimes months and it works out great. You never know....every couple is different go with your gut.

If only it were as easy as a simple equation to say okay it has been enough time.
You need to ask yourself why you are getting married- and b/c I love him is really not the answer. You need to ask yourself what are his faults and when you know what they are, can you live with it. Can you appreciate the faults that he has, like we do with our girlfriends, and not hope to change them. And of course what do you want to achieve in your life- b/c marriage should assist in that endeavor not slow you down.
That is a much better recipe that any "time" limitation.

If you know you want to get married, why wait?
The amount of time you wait before marriage has nothing to do with success or failure. You either choose to do whatever it takes to make it work (i.e. self help books, counseling, mediation, etc.) or you choose not to. You can make that decision at any time.

It's a good idea to date atleast a year before tying the knot. Some people think it's a good idea to wait longer but I think a year is sufficient. I would encourage you two to live together on a trial basis. That way, you will be able to tell if you can manage their living habits!!! Good luck!
