I can't say that one is better than the other. They were both the very best at what they did.
Bach's music is beautifully mathematical and logical. His fugues, his keyboard music, are the best written in that style, the baroque style, In fact the baroque period is thought to have come to an end when Bach died.
Mozart wrote the best in the -classical- period. He wrote great symphonies and concertos, also wonderful piano and violin music.
So I can't say one is better than the other, they were both the best. If you want to become happy, listen to them both! 8^)

Bach is the best, a musical scientist. However, Mozart was in a different generation, and learned the classical style without ever hearing Bach, only hearing the son of Bach from childhood, JC Bach, who Mozart grew to love.
Near the end of Mozart, on a trip to Leipzig, in which after reading some Bach music, exclaimed..."now this is something a person can learn from!"
Mozart is the greatest in his period. I love them both.
So, in Mozart's own words, he proclaimed bach as a better composer. See...'Mozart a Life', by Maynard Solomon.

I don't think one is any better than the other. I appreciate them both but in different ways. Bach is from the Baroque period while Mozart is from the Classical period.
To me, Mozart is more "user friendly" to listen to, especially for a person just starting to become interested in classical music. Bach's music, on the other hand, is more dramatic sounding.

I do not think one is better than the other. Like all music, it depends on the mood I'm in, so sometimes I listen to Bach, other times Mozart or other composers or jazz which I also enjoy. There is so much fine and enjoyable music out there.

That is a hard question to answer. First, Bach is in the culmination of the Baroque style of music, in which counterpoint and melody is the main harmonic emphasis, where Mozart is in the Classical style, where harmonic movement and contrast are emphasized more, with simpler orchestrations (in fact, in his day, Mozart was criticized for using too many notes). It comes down to which you prefer. Both were incredibly prolific for their time, and both were highly innovative as well. But to answer directly, I prefer Puccini.

As much as I truly love Bach's music, I'd have to say Mozart was a better composer. Bach's mathematical perfection is enchanting and delightful, but Mozart had a range that was absolutely amazing.

If you asked Mozart, he would tell you Bach.
In terms of influence on later composers, it's Bach in a landslide.

Bach, I have loved his music since childhood, every time that I heard a Bach piece I knew that it was Bach, it did that something to my soul. A lot of Bach's music has been transposed for classical guitar, and that's my instrument, to this day they are some of my favorite pieces to play and listen too.

Definately Mozart, cause his music are joyfully and lively, compared to Bach, which is very dull....and boring (maybe except toccata and fugue, minuet in G....lol)
++ Bach's music are mainly focus on technique, while Mozart is more expressive, at least makes me happy too
(above are my personal opinion)

I like Mozart better because his music is lively, light and dancing.... I think that sometimes Bach can be repetitive.
