the 2nd amendment gives Americans the right to bear arms, and most of this is done, nowadays, for protection (you see Hillary Clinton preaching to us about how guns are bad, but you can be sure an armed body guard follows her around wherever she goes). The few who do use guns as a weapon for spite are criminals, and believe me on this-- if somebody REALLY wants to get possession of a gun, they're gonna... so that means that the 'bad guy' has a gun, and guess what? the citizen who is the potential victim no longer does!

Wow you're really good at vast generalizations aren't you gun control DOES NOT strip you of your right to own guns, I know this liberal has a small arsenal, what it does do is make sure RESPONSIBLE citizens know what they hell they're doing with the things, see when the 2nd amendment was created everyone was pretty much well versed in fire arms nowadays any idiot with $400.00 can get one and not know crap about how to use it or how to make sure it doesn't get into the wrong hands, as for major cities like DC and Chicago well they're just taking drastic steps to reduce what is fundamentally an epidemic of gun violence in their cities and their citizens are the ones clamoring for it so what are you going to do when it's what you're constituents want?

Did you know that there are twice as many guns in Canada than in the states but there are 50x timesmore gun related deaths/crimes in the states than Canada.
I don't like guns but there is NOTHING wrong with having a gun. But there needs to be better control for them in the states. I think it's silly how some American Liberals want to take away the 2nd Ammendment. Getting rid of guns will NOT fix the gun problem in the states. Better control will. Give people their guns, but don't just hand them out to any Joe-schmoe who wants one without extensive legal and psychological screening. Take them out of Walmarts for crying out loud lol
By control I don't mean limiting the number they can have (that's silly) but enforce stricter registration laws.

Read the constitution.
The 2nd amendment gives the right for citizens to join a militia and for states to maintain and support the national guard (which is technically a militia). It doesn't say the right for civilians to own guns.

I would say the majority of gun owning "Dems" are responsible gun owners.
Most "Blue States" require a gun safety course to be taken when purchasing a firearm.
We do not have to do that here in AL.
