I am a lawyer in NC. I have a lot of clients who have had their licenses revoked. Yes, if you don't pay your child support, you can have your license revoked. There are many other reasons to have your license revoked- failing to show up for court for a traffic case, failing to pay a ticket, DWI, getting a moving violation while your license is revoked. Frequently, there are multiple reasons why someone's license is revoked. Frequently, people don't remember or really know why their licenses are revoked and their answers don't match what I discover when I run their driving record. I always run their driving records rather than rely on what they say.
I don't know CA law- he might still be able to drive to work. More likely, he has to go to court to get a limited driving privilege to drive to work and back.
But, he doesn't work anyway.
There are on-line services where you can run someone's driving record for a fee, but you probably need at least a social security number and a birth date.
Why are you dating a woman who got involved with a 52 yr. old unemployed drunk deadbeat dad? This woman has very poor judgment in my opinion. You might be better off with a gf with better judgment than this.
Best wishes.

There could be a lot of deep answers to that one. It may have been revoked, suspended, he failed to pay child support, he's a creep who claims he doesn't have a license because he doesn't want anyone to know him or his whereabouts. Or he totally has a license; he just lies a lot and is a user.

He may live in California, but if the support is owed in another state, and they have revoked priviledge to get a licence, he cannot get a licence.
I worked with a person who was a nervous klutz. He failed at least 6 driving exams. He will never get a licence as long as he lives, thank goodness.

Yes, failure to pay child support results in the removal of a person's drivers' license. That motivates most men to pay off. Your GF is dating a deadbeat.

Too many DWI's I would guess, or he is running from the law. Or he does not want one.
Due to handicaps. Many reasons.
Sounds like your girlfriend is a real lulu too.

CA will take your license if you do not pay support. That is plausible.

He could of had it taken away, revoked, it could have expired, he could of never learned to drive! I know people who are in their 40s who don't' drive because they are scared to death. He could have a disability. There are several reasons.

If he owes cs arrears then the state has most likely taken his license.
It's just that simple.
