I have bad news for you. Your article presents no proof that the poor are getting poorer.

I have even worse news for you, but good for all Americans. I have proof the poor are getting RICHER, not poorer. So are the middle class. Please click on Census data below. Specifically, look at Table 2, which factors in the effects of inflation to show "Real Income."

There are a lot of poor people that have gotten rich in America by just using their skills and imagination. You can sit by and complain or use your determination to better yourself if you are fit and able. Always having your glass half empty instead of half full will defeat you.

are you implying that socialism is better where the poor get free handouts without even working? this is a democracy, and the rich worked to obtain the money they have. as for the poor, i feel bad for the people on the streets, but that's what welfare is already doing. there are a lot of people who are only on welfare and don't even want to get off because they're just looking for a free ride. bush conserves democracy. socialism, if you look at history, does not work.

God I love liberal cliches. What's wrong with the rich getting richer? It means the economy is good and everyone benefits from it. Even you poor, unenlightened liberals.
