Personally I believe that the greatest obstacle to acceptance is ignorance. People fear what they do not understand, and as we have seen countless times throughout history, fear breeds hatred.
By dispelling ignorance and teaching others the truth about homosexuality, I truly believe that we can become fully accepted within society.
Knowledge is the greatest tool we can weld, and by sharing that knowledge, we make ourselves more understood.
What do you think is the best way to become accepted?

While I agree, I don't think just being "out" is enough. Accepting yourself is the first step, but having others accept you is the ultimate goal.

Hmm... The best way to gain acceptance would to have no gay guys in the closet. Then bigots really don't have anyone to pick on. What good is their arguing if everyone's out and does not care?

No, God says that there isn't any sin better than the subsequent different than that of blaspheming the Holy Spirit. God states that no matter what you have performed, he's waiting which you would be able to tutor back to Him. God is a righteous, and forgiving God, merciful and excellent and could settle for you even once you do incorrect, in spite of the fact that if it fairly is as much as you to return to repentance and ask for the forgiveness from God.

I do not think we will ever be accepted the way you talk about here because Many People (many types of people) are simply not interested in us at all and find it more to their needs to use us as amusement. (In another answere I went into this a bit more)
I think that we must simply fight for our just place; our right to exist. We have to make it so there is some cost put to others for their inconsideration and brutality.

The BEST way to be accepted is to be OUT.
You cant be accepted if youre in the closet.
You cant educate the ignorant masses if youre in the closet.
As long as we are afraid...
remaining hidden...
trying to blend in...
pretending to be something we are not...
we pretty much tell the world there IS something to be ashamed of.
ACCEPTANCE BEGINS WITHIN OUR OWN COMMUNITY!
Once we learn to accept ourselves... the rest of the world will follow.

I dont know.. the people always be like that.. my friends and class mates are anti gay.. so what can I do? I can't obligate them to change their mind.. specially when religion is over them
