It's the things that interest us that can pose the greatest challenges. I was a poli sci major in college because I found it interesting, not because I was any good at it. I struggled, but I felt better for not wussing out. Granted I was also a comm major, and that was easy as crap.

yes, I do find that when I really want to be good at something, I sometimes suck really bad at it.

Yes....Mine was always sports. So what you ought to do is whatever your trying so hard to be good at unless its school or a relationship which then you should explore out your options to get better at...try focusing on something you are good at. And look at the glass 1/2 full rather than 1/2 empty.

Yes, but it makes my try harder. I was really really bad in school in highschool and barely graduated. Now after putting college off for 6 years, Im working hard, and doing good. I never thought that would be possible.

Whoever first told me: "You can do anything if you put your mind to it" should be bashed in the head for LYING TO ME.

Nowadays, if I'm not good at something, i just say that I never wanted to be good at it anyway and never liked it in the first place: e.g. chess, swimming, juggling (more than 2 lol), a whole heap of sports, and French.

lets revise this....
you suck at first, and then second, and then third...then you start to get a little better the more you work at it...then by the time you're at the 13th or so try, you realize "hey, I'm gettin' good!"
Patience and practise!

Pretty much everything I do I try to make it so that nobody can oustage me and if they manage to, I redo it better. I never give up I try to always make the best I can and if someone is going to do it better than me then I make sure they work super hard to upstage me.
